Heritage tea rooms:

Here are the photos - This place would be my absolute favourite place in Australia so far. It combines all my favourite things - History (steeped in history), tea and Daniel (Just to be corny hehe)
It was an awesome lunch. I had traditional scones and dan had a chicken and advocado focaccia! Really delicious. The place itself it so beautiful and afterwards you can go for a walk and admire the outback (kinda).

Maggie Island.

Magnetic island is Townsville's own private tropical island, surrounded by coral reef and WW2 battle placements. we spent pretty much all day going between the bays to find the best spot for snorkeling and being lazy. tip for anyone going their get a rental car or scooters. cause you will be walking a while. but the walk to the battle placements are worth it. we also go to see some koalas in their own nature habitat :)
